StyleWatch: Hanna Marin

As the summer finale of the hit tv series approaches, I thought I'd start a StyleWatch series, dedicated to the most fashionable charachters of the show. And today we'll go through some of the latest and best looks of Hanna Marin.

While Hanna's style started as standard it-girl fashion, mini skirts, flowy tops and jewelry, it has developed and gone far, far beyond that. Now she's (successfully) taking fashion risks, going for daring pieces and breath-takig jewlery. But still, she falls for a structured blazer.

CrazyThis flirty and fun outfit is perfect for a busy day. It will fashionably get to through your school day- I'd recommend going with flats. And just by slipping on some heels, switching your city bag for something smaller and more delicate and smoking up your makeup you'll be able to go out with your girls or even on a date!
Plus, this outfit is comfy and very easy to recreate-
just visit your local H&M and you'll find everything you'll need, if you don't arleady have these items in your closet!

Blood Is the New Black

It's all about the balance! When going with statement
pieces, make sure not to overdo it with the rest of the outfit. Keep the focus on one-two pieces. Here Hanna is jazzing it up with those funky earrings (everyone was talking about them when the episode aired) and killer shoes. By adding the coloured paints, she made the outfit even more fun but still not over the top!

It Happened That Night
This blazer is to-die-for! You should invest on nice, tailored, solid colourd blazer if you feel like splurging but don't spend the extra euros/dollar etc on something that trendy. You're most likely not going to get your money's worth out of it.

One of Hanna's most daring and talked about looks.

Fall 2012

It may just be the beggining of August, but in the fashion world it is already all about fall. And this fall is expected to be uber chic!
So let's break it down, shall we?

No 1  Black, Black, Black. But with a twist.
The always classy and never-going-out-of-style black is a must. But instead of going for a total black outfit,
go with one basic black piece, such as a black jacket but where it with a top with some eye-catching detail or a small, unexpected pop of colour.

No 2  Layer.
Let's be honest, layering is synonimous to fall. Just remember, to avoid looking bulky, use thinner fabrics or go with one chunky piece, such as a big, knitt sweater with some thinner layers underneath. And don't forget to sench that waist with a belt to show some figure!

No 3  PRNITS!
Paired with simple, minimalistic sillouetes, prints are everywhre this year. From adelic, to animal, to ethnic, there's something for everyone. If you think that a printed dress is too daring or too overwhelming for your figure stick with a printed top, your favourite pair of jeans and a pair of boots.

No 4  The fur jacket, (GO FOR FAUX!)
Roberto Cavalli, rag & bone, you name it- they did it. Go with a colour that will complement most of your wordrobe!

Personal favourite: the Belstaff campaign. Some classic, easy and warm fall fashion.
Plus the photography in this one is phenomenal.

To sum it up, this year it's all about minimalistic sillouetes, bold, eye-catching prints and spicing up your fall/winter classics.

Fashion. We love it. We want to have. But can we?
When your fifteen years old, walking in school with sky-high heels is kind of unrealistic. And most of us cannot afford the latest Chanel collection, am I right?
So in this blog you will (hopefully) find fashion and beauty on a budget. And lots of other things!
